Horse riding confidence in riding can be seriously hampered after a series of competition failures, riding accidents or experience with a difficult horse.

Numerous horse riders, particularly in the USA, are turning towards visualisation and mental imagery to take their ability to the next level or simply to regain lost confidence so that they can enjoy their horse again.

Imagery in riding can include: mental rehearsal of specific performance skills, improving confidence and positive thinking, problem solving, controlling negative emotions and anxiety, performance review and analysis, and preparation for competitions.

Neil Wood-Gaiger is not only an experienced therapist who has help many riders, both experienced and novice, gain confidence in their horse riding through mental visualisation and hypnotherapy he is also an experienced equine behaviourist and horse rider himself, so really knows what it is like to ride and overcome lack of confidence in horse riding.
